Outremer yachting is producing open sea multihull-yachts since their foundation in 1983 in the french mediterranean harbour La Grande Motte near Montpellier. In our latitudes the Outremer Catamarans have become primarily famous due to its success in Atlantic regattas, the OSTAR, Quebec-St. Malo and the ARC.
In 1997 cat sale began selling Outremer’s yachts in Germany. A design-range from 40’ to 64’ of the worlds fastest serial catamarans.

All Outremer Catamarans
are developed and designed for world-wide sailing and are offering the highest standards of safety, performance on all oceans. In the mid 1980s Gerard Danson and his assistant Daniel designed and laid the keel of a super fast 40-foot catamaran. This was the founding of ATELIER OUTREMER.
The elegant and sporting Outremer 40 immediately aroused great interest. Although she was not very spacious inside, Gerard immediately sold a complete year’s worth of production. Encouraged by his success, Danson developed another catamaran: the Outremer 50. A boat intended to combine the sporting features of the 40 footer with the luxury of a large catamaran cruiser. Motivated by that success, yachts from 11,5 to 20 meters in length have been designed in the following years. Starting out as a best kept secret of enthusiastic catamaran fans, ATELIER OUTREMER turned into an internationally renowned company with exports all over the world. Since autumn 2007 the catamarans from La Grande Motte are profiting of the fusion of two manufacturers of extraordinary blue-water-yachts: Allures- and Outremer-Yachting.
